The first woman to be GM of a Triple A minor league baseball team in over two decades, Emily spent 4 years at the helm of the Reno Aces AAA baseball club before intentionally deciding to take a breather and focus her energy on her growing family.

“So you get that ‘FIRST WOMAN’ title, that can’t be the climax, right? What I did was define three goals, and the first was kick ass at my job. If I’m in this role, and I have this asterisk next to the title, I gotta do something good, right? I gotta show what I can do. I wanted to make sure that I made some big contributions and did really great work so it wasn’t just all show and headlines and people were talking about my work not about my gender. ”
